Come and cheer on both of our basketball teams this Friday night, February 22nd at home as they both try to win a District 42 Championship.  Both teams will be competing at EKU in Richmond next week for the Region 11 Championship and chance to advance to the KHSAA Sweet 16.


Three different Blue Devils earned a spot in the history books by joining the 1,000-point club at Henry Clay High School.Kiya Thompson, a West Virginia State commit, scored her 1,000th point against Bryan Station on December 4th, 2018.  She is averaging 15.5 points per game as a senior.

With a dominant 33 point game against Lafayette on January 27th, 2019, Marques Warrick became just the 22nd player in Henry Clay basketball history to score 1,000 points.  Marques is only a junior at Henry Clay and is looking to climb the ranks in scoring history next season.

With a 20-point performance against Lafayette on February 12th, Keaston Brown became only the 23rd player in school history to score 1,000 points.

Coach of the Month – Andy Critchfield – Wrestling
-14th year as wrestling coach
-2 Regional Championship teams and 4 Regional Runner Up teams
-Coached 6 individual State Champions, 21 State Place Winner and 1 high school all-american
Alumni of the Month – Matt Zarth – College Wrestling – Davidson College – Class of 2009
After graduating from Henry Clay in 2009, Matt attended Davidson College in North Carolina. While at Henry Clay, Matt won individual wrestling state championships in 2007, 2008 and 2009.  Henry Clay gave Matt the wonderful opportunity to compete as a wrestler and continue that career at Davidson, wrestling at 125 pounds for 4 years.  Following graduation from Davidson, Matt was accepted to the University of Kentucky for medical school and ultimately decided to specialize in anesthesiology.
